Located in north-central Bulgaria, on 4 hills on the banks of Yantra River, some 230 km to the east of Sofia.Among the main attractions in the city are: Tsarevets Citadel – the Royal Hill with the Patriarhal Cathedral and Baldwin tower, the Monument of Asenevtsi, Samovodska Charshia ( the Old Marketplace ), Gurko Street, The House with the Monkey, Hadjinikuli Inn, Assenevsi neighbourhood with the numerous medieval churches, etc.Arbanassi museum village is located on a hill above Veliko Turnovo. It was mentioned for the first time in documents from 1538. The village was so scenic that Greek bishops from Mount Athos and from as far as Jerusalem went to spend the summer there!Short itinerary:Day 1: Transfer from Sofia to Veliko Tarnovo.
