In the historical geography of wine, the land of Bulgaria occupies a rather important and even special place. Ancient Trace is exactly where the cult of Dionysus ( the ancient Greek God of wine ) started its tradition in the Hellenic world.

day1

Arrival in Sofia. Transfer from the airport and short panoramic tour. Overnight.

day2

Half day tour of Sofia. Lunch. Proceed to Pleven. Afternoon visit of the Wine museum, occupying a natural cave. Evening to Veliko Turnovo.

day3

Morning tour of Veliko Turnovo. Visit of Vinprom Liaskovets - one of the oldest wine factories in Bulgaria, producing sparking, herbal and dessert wines. Evening in Veliko Turnovo.

day4

Departure towards the southern Black Sea coast. Visit Nessebur UNESCO town and proceed to wineries visits in the region of Pomorie.

day5

Morning to enjoy the sea. Departure to central Bulgaria and stop to a modern winery in the suburbs of Sliven. Arrival in Plovdiv.

day6

Morning tour of Plovdiv. Afternoon to Brestovitsa village and its wine cellars. Short stop to Bachkovo Monastery and return to Plovdiv.

day7

Departure to Rila Monastery – the largest monastery in Bulgaria, included in UNESCO list. Tour. Evening to Sofia.

day8

Free time and departure transfer to the airport.
